The Energy Transition Alliance (ETA)

A five year collaboration which will focus on R&D to accelerate the energy transition. The Net Zero Technology Centre and Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (ORE) have five high-potential projects already identified to form part of the technology roadmap.

North Sea Energy Programme 2020-2021

North Sea Energy is a public-private research programme, which benefits from the cooperation of more than 30 international parties from the energy value chain.

The programme was launched in 2017 and investigates the North Sea’s potential for an integrated energy system, investigating the benefits of smart linkages between the various energy functions in the North Sea.

Scotland's Net Zero Roadmap (SNZR)

In partnership with NECCUS; Aker Solutions; Costain; Doosan; Energy System Catapult; Halliburton; Optimat; Pale Blue Dot; University of Edinburgh; University of Strathclyde; Wood.

A collaborative project funded by ISCF-Innovate UK, for the decarbonisation of the Grangemouth/St. Fergus Industrial Cluster. The Net Zero Technology Centre contribution focuses on providing expertise and analysis on current and developing decarbonisation technologies

The Hydrogen Innovation Initiative

The Hydrogen Innovation Initiative, will combine collective strengths, capabilities, national locations and industrial reach. This aims to create a unique partnership that will forge new connections and support strategic national innovation priorities. It will add value to the UK economy by creating new technology supply chains and by maximising its diverse geographical footprint to stimulate regional prosperity. Together the Catapult Network and its partners will accelerate translational research to grow the Hydrogen Economy and the critical role it will play in delivering Net Zero.

North East Scotland Hydrogen Ambition (NESH2A) Steering Committee 

A dedicated Hydrogen Steering Committee has been created to ensure the North East of Scotland capitalises on the ‘massive potential’ the region possesses in low carbon hydrogen opportunities which could create up to 30,000 jobs in the region by 2040.
