After showcasing 29 tech start-ups from around the world, each with technology solutions that can help accelerate the transition to a net zero energy industry, 10 finalists battled it out at our final event, live in Glasgow during COP26.

Mineral Carbonation International (MCi) crowned as champion of the pitch battle!
The Australian start-up is developing a scalable carbon platform technology that safely captures and converts industrial CO2 emissions into solid bulk materials used in new low-carbon products for construction, industrial and consumer markets.

Our runner-up was Japanese start-up PJP Eye Ltd., who is developing a new generation of plant-based carbon batteries. Taking third place was Syzygy Plasmonics Inc., a start-up from the USA that is developing a first of kind photocatalytic reactor to electrify chemical production.
