Remote Optical Gas Imaging UAV

Project Summary

The objective of this project is to increase gas detection in all operational areas and to reduce manual handheld workscopes within modules thereby improving efficiency and to reduce the risk of major accident hazards (MAH). Main objective of this project to successfully test fly a UAV on a live facility and gather data on its emissions.

OUTCOMES

The value generation expected from a one-time technology deployment is £2K per weekly OGI sweep, this will equate to an annual saving of £100,000 per asset (87.5% cost saving) with a potential to deliver £5M annually across the UKCS assuming a 20% uptake within the industry and an overall costing of £50M over a 10 year period.
