Taking that first step into the working world can be daunting, but opportunity awaits those ready to embark on their career.

The Net Zero Technology Centre offers internships for university students, providing valuable experience during their summer breaks.

The 2021 internships are already underway, with 16 students carrying out individual projects that focus on how technology will help us reach net zero. Our next internship intake will be summer 2022, with application details posted on our website in April 2022.

We recognise that securing employment for young people isn’t always easy which is why we also support the Kick Start Scheme. Through the scheme we are able to offer six-month job placements for 16- to 24-year-olds, helping them gain new skills and move into sustained employment after completing the placement.

Our employees are passionate about developing the skills of future generations, regularly lecturing at universities to provide more insight into the journey to net zero. They actively inspire entrepreneurship, showcasing the significant opportunity and career growth potential for university graduates.

You can also listen to advice on the move by registering for our Inspire20 career talks.
