TechX, in partnership with Pillsbury and Energybackers, welcome alumni, investors, corporates and professionals to an afternoon of pitching, investment meetings and network building.

The event will feature:

  • Venture Showcase – 3:45pm – 4:15pm | The event will open with a welcome and a number of energy technology startups pitching for seed or series A investment live in the room.
  • Panel Session – 4:15pm – 4:45pm | A panel of deal makers, investors and legal professionals will lead the “From Investor ‘Yes’ to Dead Deal” session, exploring the reasons deals disappear or fall apart—from due diligence, founder issues and cap table issues to investor politics and legal mistakes.
  • Investment Meetings – 5:00pm – 5:45pm | After a break, startups and investors will participate in 1-to-1 speed introductions meetings.
  • Drinks Reception – 5:45pm – 7:00pm

To qualify, individuals must meet one or more of the following criteria: (a) be a member of a network or syndicate of business angels, and have been a member for more than six months, (b), have made two or more investments in unlisted companies in the past two years, (c) work or have worked professionally in private equity or SME finance within the last two years, or (d) have been the director of a company with an annual turnover of at least £1 million in the last two years. 
  1. A start-up company potentially looking for investment.
