The Oil & Gas Technology Centre has launched a series of weekly events called ‘Tech20’ to help inspire a culture of innovation in the North-East of Scotland.

Tech20 events, which take place in the Centre’s Innovation Hub, will feature an expert speaker giving a thought-provoking insight into a technology, theme or business area.

The Tech20 series kicks off at 1230 on Friday 23 February, with John Hunter, Emergent Technology Director for Tendeka, sharing his thoughts on innovation, that everyone has the ability to create and develop ideas, and how those at Tendeka are encouraged to think out the box.

Future speakers include:

  • Daniel Cheetham, Happy Finish – 2 March
  • Davi Quintiere, Slalom UK – 9 March
  • Richard Marshall, Chelsea Apps Factory – 16 March

The events include a 20-minute talk, 20 minutes Q&A and 20 minutes for lunch and networking.

Spaces are limited so visit our events page to book your place at a Tech20 event.

Stephen Sheal, External Relationship Director for the Oil & Gas Technology Centre, said:

“Inspiring a culture of innovation in North-East Scotland is one of our goals and we hope our Tech20 series will do just that. People from all industries and walks of life can come to the Innovation Hub every Friday to hear something new, surprising or challenging.

“We’ll invite the brightest and best speakers to share different perspectives, insights and challenge the status quo. We want to engage people in the possibilities and opportunities to transform the oil and gas industry and create a bright future for the region as a thriving technology hub.”
