Technology Arena generates significant operator interest

21 June 2017
The technologies showcased at our first Asset Integrity Technology Arena have generated significant interest from the operator community.

We asked eight technology providers to give a short presentation on their solution to an audience of major North Sea operators, followed by an afternoon of networking.

The technology providers and projects showcased were:

Apollo – Apollo KnowHow
Integrity data management for all asset and equipment types that delivers operational efficiencies, quality improvements and greater asset integrity confidence.

Equalizer International – Flange Integrity System (Xtegrity)
Takes away the need to remove corroded bolts by “replacing” them with a new set of bolts which clamp round the outside of the flange, without disrupting production.

Eserve – RO Management “Eliminate The Unnecessary”
‘One stop shop’ for asset scanning, engineering design, manufacture, testing, processing. Combines traditional methods with innovation to deliver reactive repair orders and minor modifications.

ICR Integrity – Well Conductor Corrosion Monitoring String
Utilises corrosion coupons to provide corrosion and pitting rates, as well as microbial data for the whole of the conductor.

Leidos – Content Extraction from Legacy Engineering Drawings
Rapidly and accurately identifies content such as TAG’s and lines & cables in legacy content to instantly build a link between the content and the drawings where it can be found.

Proclad Group – Weld overlay (cladding)
Weld overlay (cladding) which offers a more economical, durable and speedy welded solution compared with composite wraps and clamps.

Pipelines 2 Data – inSonify
inSonify is a patented technology capable of delivering actionable insight into the integrity and condition of a conduit carrying liquid or gas

SPi Performance Coatings – EonCoat, Polyurea with UB Molecule, Stainguard PF
Cutting-edge coatings for a range of applications including ferrous assets, primary and secondary containment, tanks and blast mitigation, and asset protection when transporting products.

Rebecca Allison, Asset Integrity Solution Centre Manager, said: “We had a lot of engagement and interest in technology in the technology we presented. The Technology Arena allowed us to showcase the technology that we’ve been looking at and we’re hoping we can now move forward into the field trial and pilot study phase.”
