ESGT (Enhanced Subsea Gas Tiebacks) – Industry Collaboration Support

Project Summary

The central objective of the ESGT (Enhanced Subsea Gas Tiebacks) project is to further develop the Pseudo Dry Gas System (PDGS) and live test the first full scale, preproduction model. The SIT of the system will be undertaken in Q1 2023 with follow on testing at NEL.

OUTCOMES

Implementation of the technology will dramatically improve the efficiency of subsea gas transportation by removing fluids at the earliest point of accumulation. This enables the development of currently stranded gas fields globally whilst reducing scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions by a factor of 3 to 5 against standard development options.
