Digitising Offshore Energy Systems

The offshore energy data strategy taskforce has set out seven recommendations that aim to digitalise offshore energy – spanning oil, gas and renewables.

The Offshore Energy Data Strategy (OEDS) Taskforce was launched in September 2021 by the Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC), Offshore Energies UK (OEUK), and the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA). The Taskforce brought together a range of participants – including The Crown Estate (TCE), Crown Estate Scotland (CES), the Technology Leadership Board (TLB), and Renewable UK (RUK) – to encourage a modern, digitalised, and integrated sector.

The Taskforce was run by Energy Systems Catapult (ESC) and Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult.
