Colette
Cohen OBE
Colette Cohen OBE
Colette Cohen is the Chief Executive Officer for The Net Zero Technology Centre and has worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 25 years. Colette successfully launched The Centre in 2017 and has established it as the ‘go to’ technology centre for the industry. Since starting her career offshore with bp in 1991, Colette has worked for ConocoPhillips in the North Sea, Norway, the US and Kazakhstan, where she received a Jubilee Medal from the Kazakh Prime Minister in recognition of her contribution to the country’s oil and gas industry. Prior to joining the centre, she was Senior Vice President for Centrica Energy’s Exploration and Production business in the UK and The Netherlands.
Colette has previously served on the board of Offshore Energies UK and the OGA Decommissioning Board. She currently sits on the Boards of the National Strategy for Economic Transformation Delivery, Deep Ocean, NORECO, Technip Energies and the Technology Leadership Board. She is also a Commissioner for the Just Transition Commission for Scotland, an active champion for the industrial transition of the oil and gas industry to a net zero future and a committed role model for women in industry.
Colette is a chemistry graduate from Queens University Belfast, has a Masters in Project Management and Economics from Ceram University, an honorary doctorate from the University of Aberdeen, and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Institute of Directors.

Myrtle Dawes
Myrtle Dawes is Chief Executive Officer of the Net Zero Technology Centre where she leads the development of technology for a net zero energy industry.
She is a non-executive board member of FirstGroup, a non-executive director on the Aquila European Renewables plc board, an advisory board member for the Association of Black and Minority Engineers and sits on the Technology Leadership Board.
A Chartered Chemical Engineer, Myrtle is an established leader with extensive experience in the energy sector both in the UK and overseas. Respected as a prominent voice on the energy transition, she began her career 30 years ago as an offshore engineer for BP, before delivering on leadership roles in engineering, project management, technology and digital transformation. Myrtle’s passion for innovation and technology galvanises her colleagues, government and industry to take action and push boundaries.
Myrtle holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology from Imperial College. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, Fellow of the Energy Institute, Fellow of the Forward Institute and Honorary Fellow of the Association of Project Managers.
In 2017, Myrtle received recognition for her contribution to business, having featured in Breaking the Glass Ceiling and being selected as one of 100 Women to Watch in the Cranfield FTSE Board Report 2017. In 2021 she was recognised by TE:100 as one of the Women of the Energy Transition.
Myrtle has two children and in her spare time studies mathematics, is a keen cat lover, and gamer.


Nicola
McIntosh

Nicola McIntosh
As Chief Financial Officer, Nicola brings strong leadership and drive to deliver high quality and transparent management reporting at The Net Zero Technology Centre. With a strong background in performance management, Nicola has over 20 years’ experience working in finance and commercial roles, including Maersk Oil where she held a range of senior management positions including Chief of Staff for the COO. She is also passionate about corporate responsibility, supporting a range of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) engagement with schools, alongside diversity in the work place initiatives through the Powerful Women network.
Outside work, Nicola is a keen swimmer and is aiming for an impressive 13,000 lengths this year. She is married and has two teenage children and two mad dogs. She also loves her champagne and nice food!


Mark
Anderson
Chief Acceleration Officer & TechX Director
Mark Anderson
Mark Anderson is Chief Acceleration Officer & TechX Director at the Net Zero Technology Centre, where he leads the Centre’s activities to create, grow and develop start-up companies, to help accelerate the transition to net zero. Mark began his career with Procter & Gamble in 1991, before spending 25 years in strategy consulting and corporate advisory. For the last 20 years Mark’s focus has been on low carbon energy, climate change and sustainable technology. Before joining the Net Zero Technology Centre in March 2021 Mark co-founded two technology businesses alongside his advisory work, in which he focused on raising funds for start-ups and developing their business strategies, leading commercial due diligence for finance houses and advising large corporates on strategy and M&A.
Mark is passionate about entrepreneurship, and about helping to catalyse the transition to a net zero world and the role start-ups can play. Mark is an experienced mentor, and a seasoned chair and speaker at energy and cleantech conferences. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Oxford University and a Master’s degree in Environmental Technology and Energy Policy from Imperial College, London.
Outside work, Mark enjoys golf, tennis, skiing and hillwalking, and is a keen singer.

Chief Technology Officer
Luca Corradi
Luca works to bring “the outside in”, connecting innovators and academics across sectors and disciplines, to explore the latest technologies that could be adopted to address oil and gas industry challenges. Leading The Net Zero Technology Centre’s horizon scanning activity, he identifies emerging technology trends, cutting through the hype to identify potential areas of impact and application. With a background in business and organisational change leadership, Luca has developed a strong network and is passionate about harnessing this to deliver the next generation of the net zero energy industry.
Outside work Luca loves reading, music and travel. He is married with two young daughters and a dog. He enjoys the rare motorbike ride in Scotland and even rarer ski trip on the Alps.
