COP28 has put the spotlight on the need for a just and equitable transition for emerging and developing countries in the Global South, where often the impacts of global climate change are most negatively felt, and the need to access more energy is critical to improve living conditions.   

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), 35% of global emissions will need to be addressed using emerging and future technologies.

Technology Without Borders represents a new approach, an alternative model for a coordinated and targeted global partnership program to bridge the net zero energy technology gap between the Global North and South, that focuses on place, people and technology.
