The first funding window in our 2022 Funding Competition ran between March – April.
Businesses from across the globe applied for a share of £7 million available in the first funding window, with a maximum of £1 million awarded to each successful project. The projects supported the transition towards net zero with an obligation of trialling and deploying technology within the UK continental shelf. As well as funding, the projects also gained access to data facilities and technical expertise from industry.

Our 2023 Funding Competition ran between January -February.
Businesses from across the globe applied for up to £500K NZTC funding with the potential of additional match funding from industry to support their technology development and deployment projects.
The projects supported the transition towards net zero with an obligation of trialling and deploying technology on the UK continental shelf. As well as funding, the projects also gained access to data facilities and technical expertise from industry.
We were looking for game changing ideas that reduce emissions and accelerate an integrated energy system, leveraging data and digital technology.
